Members from the academia as well as from the industry. Our scientific committee contribute the scientific background to the right selection of ingredients, combining them together to achieve the best solutions we can offer to our customers.

Prof. Sam Saguy

Sam Saguy, is a Professor of Food Science and Technology at The Institute of Biochemistry Food Science and Nutrition, Faculty of Agricultural, Food and Environmental Sciences, The Hebrew University of Jerusalem, Israel. Also he is the Director of Research Affairs, Faculty of Agricultural, Food and Environmental Sciences.

Sam has gained outstanding international recognition both in academia and the food industry, including an established record of synergistic interface of academic research with engineering, R&D, and involvement in all facets of new products development from the concept to the marketplace. In addition he consults for numerous food and biotechnology companies in the US, Europe, India and Israel.

Sam was acknowledged (2006) by the Institute of Food Technologists, USA as Fellow, recognized for: "Establishing an international leadership role in both academia and industry through the advancement of the fundamental understanding of complex systems utilizing engineering and scientific principles." More recently (2007) he was also awarded by the Israeli Food Industry Association: A Life Time Achievement Award for his academic achievements and contributions.

Chunlin Wang, Ph.D

 

Chunlin Wang, graduated with Ph.D degree from Rutgers University in 1998, received his Master of Science Degree from the  Graduate School, Chinese Academy of Agricultural Sciences (CAAS) in 1989, and Batchlor’s degree in Science in 1985.

 

Chunlin  was a research fellow at the Biotechnology Research Center of CAAS in Beijing, China during 1989 to 1993. His research was focused on genetics and genetic engineering of plants for disease.

Nissim Guigui  M.Sc.

Nissim Guigui: R&D and Quality Assurance Manager in Gadot Biochemical Industries Ltd.

Nissim is a graduate of the Tel-Aviv University in the faculty of life sciences: B.Sc (1979) in Biology and M.Sc (1983) from the Department of Microbiology in which he works also as a teaching assistant.

Highly experienced in fermentation processes and in the field of immobilized microbial cells, from lab scale via scale up in pilot plant to full industrial production.

Michael Paikin M.Sc.

 Michael Paikin, R&D Engineer at Gadot Biochemical Industries Ltd.

Michael is a graduate of Technological Faculty of Chemical- Pharmaceutical Institute, St. Petersburg, Russia. Fine Organic Synthesis of Pharmaceutical Active Substances

( M.Sc, 1986).

 

He works at GBI from 1992 on different posts. Few years acts as special salts plant process engineer and now as R&D Engineer. He is part of the "Fermentation team"of GBI.
