Chlorophyllin is a semi-synthetic sodium/copper derivative of chlorophyll. In contrast to chlorophyll, chlorophyllin is water-soluble. 
Chlorophyllin derivatives , like chlorophyll, have deodorizing activity. They are used as an aid to reduce odors.
